Helping unsigned underground bands and independent artists compete with label releases. Don't let a weak mix give you away.
About
Music should still feel like something…
Music seems to be becoming more and more corporate and formulaic again. If it isn’t AI churning out ‘by-the-numbers’ streaming slop, then it’s business-driven song-writing doing much the same. We need independent bands and musicians producing real art, not a production line for something safe.
At Eastway Audio, I want to help independent artists succeed against this backdrop. By helping shape your tracks into the best they can be and to be heard against that noise. It's not all about removing imperfections, it's more about keeping individuality in the music. I want to maintain your intentions for the track, to keep the life and dynamics in there — so the final release is the best it can be and represents who you are.
Whether you're a band or artist looking for the finishing touches to get it over the line, to address previous issues or maybe something more collaborative — please get in touch. For self-recording artists, there’s no need to wrestle with your mixes. You've spent time writing, arranging and recording your tracks. Rather than get bogged down in the final mix process, let's work together to get the tracks finished and ready for release.
The Demo Hole
Why Does Your Recording Still Sound Like a Demo?
You've paid the studio for tracking or you've recorded all yourself - but when you play the track to someone, you always feel like you need to make excuses...

Process
How It Works
My mixing process isn't about receiving your session recording, working on it in isolation, then presenting you with the mix to either accept or reject. I want to talk with you about the track and what you want to achieve. To discuss any rough mixes and what references you may have.
You will supply a set of multitracks to work with. Don't worry if you're not sure what’s required, there’s a checklist of requirements and formats so that there shouldn't be any issues ( Multitrack Delivery Spec (PDF) ). But if you have any specific needs, I am more than happy to work with you on alternatives.
I will provide you with commercial quality final mixes ready for mastering, in addition to client mixes that you can compare with your existing playlists. If you need additional stems, alternate mixes, mastering etc, let me know.
Pricing
Rates & Projects
Project pricing depends on what is needed - track-count, complexity, tuning but also where you are as a band. If you're making something to believe in, I want to find a way to make it work.
I will put together a price for each mix - to supply the final pre-mastering and client mixes. For unsigned artists, prices generally start at £100 per track.
If you need additional services such as tape restoration, stem preparation and alternative mixes, I can provide these at very reasonable charges.
Get in touch and tell me about your project.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I'm not sure how to export multitracks or stems properly?
No problem! I provide a PDF checklist. If you get stuck, I'll guide you through the export process.
Will you change my creative effects, amp sims or synth tones?
Never without your permission. If you built a custom vocal pitch effect, guitar amp tone, or synth patch that defines the song, keep it printed on your track. I will build around your sound design. But also supplying guitar DIs and possibly MIDI tracks can be useful too.
What happens if I want changes to the mix?
Every full mix includes revision passes. I make it easy: just send me notes like "boost lead vocal +1dB in verse 2" or "tame the high end on the hi-hats," and I'll implement them swiftly.
Why offer a free 30-second sample mix?
Because the audio quality should speak for itself. I want you to feel 100% confident in my ability to execute your vision before making a financial commitment.
